Last year I posted about how the Bradford Pear tree blooms smell like cum. You know it when you smell it.
But last year at this time I was wowed by the lack of understanding and comments and information I could get on why I keep smelling stale cat pee. And now it's back. But I dug deep, sniffed hundreds of plants, and have an answer.
What's my deal? Juniper. It sometimes grows high and narrow, sometimes low and wide; it's everywhere (although I think somehow specific to a specie in Cincinnati/Southern Ohio/Northern Kentucky). Apparently just bugs me. Smells like cat pee. Stale cat pee. It's wafting in my window right now.
Anyone else smelled this way?

Some people have all the luck, dude...
My nose is a curse and a blessing. My roommate in college didn't have an olfactory bulb, so I was stuck smelling his milk. Now I'm married. My wife's sense of smell isn't all that great. And I'm still stuck smelling the milk.
And then there's the cat piss and cum thing...
I live in Harrison and I've been smelling this the past few days. It's bugging my a lot, giving me headaches sometimes. At first I thought it might be cat pee outside my window, but then I started smelling it all over town and even on the highway.
Anon, I'm so glad to have helped. It drove me absolutely nuts last year and weeks and weeks of smelling every flower I came in contact with. Then, finally. Who woulda thought it was a bush?
That smell is back again...giving me headaches again... :(
Anon- Best of luck to you. At least I don't get the headaches. Check the home page - did another post as is seasonal.
