You Know What They Say About them Chinese in Texas...

No?

Think Progress has this one, telling us about how Texas State Rep. Betty Brown recently stated "during House testimony on voter identification legislation:"
Rather than everyone here having to learn Chinese — I understand it’s a rather difficult language — do you think that it would behoove you and your citizens to adopt a name that we could deal with more readily here?
Betty continues to back her comments, refusing to apologize, even in the fake, non-apology way most politicians do.

And the Republican party wonders why they have a continual problem attracting minorities.

What TexanGOPS are known for is their xenophobia and their hoof-in-mouth-disease.

If you ain't white, you cain't be Right.

In fact, some non-whites have started their own GOP-subset, like the LogCabinRebiblicans.

It's called the UncleTom'sCabinRebiblicans. You know, for Michael Steele and "Bobby" Jindal. And any other wingnut-o'-color, like Juan Williams (TV talking-head), Ben Nighthorse Campbell (ex-congress-critter from Colorado) and the Vietnamese guy who beat William Jefferson (D-LA) for WJ's seat.

It'd be lovely if the GOP would just go ahead and have a meltdown like the Wicked Witch of the West, from Oz...

[Yeah, Naomi here. Still can't convince Google/Blogger I can comment...]
